Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This page explains what information Tilehall (tilehall.com) handles when you visit, and what we do with it. The short version: you do not need an account, we do not set cookies, and we only collect anonymous visit statistics.

Your game settings

The Sound and Dim blocked tiles settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so they are still there next time you visit. They are never sent to us. Your game, the board, your moves and the timer exist only in your browser and are gone when you close the page or start a new board. You can clear saved settings at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies. For each page view it records the page address, the referring site, an approximate location at country, region and city level, and your browser, operating system and device type. Visitors are distinguished by a hash of the incoming request that is discarded after 24 hours, so we cannot follow you from one day to the next or across other websites. We only see the results as totals.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser requests a page, and keeps short-term logs to run the service and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply, and we delete correspondence we no longer need. We never add you to a mailing list.

Advertising

Tilehall does not show advertising at the moment. We may add ads from Google in the future to cover running costs. Before we do, we will update this page to explain what advertising partners collect and how cookies are used, and visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent tool before any advertising cookies are set.

Children

Tilehall is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because we do not keep accounts or profiles, there is usually nothing about you for us to look up. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, or you have any question about privacy, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Any significant change, such as adding advertising, will be described here before it takes effect.
