Using the site
Tilehall is free for personal, non-commercial use. You may play the games and read the guides as much as you like, and you may share links to any page. Please do not:
- copy the site, its tile artwork or its guides to publish elsewhere;
- use automated tools to scrape the site or put unusual load on it;
- try to interfere with how the site works or with other visitors' use of it.
Our content
The guides, tile artwork, layouts and code on Tilehall belong to us, except for the open-source fonts listed on our About page, which are used under their own licenses. The rules of mahjong belong to everyone; our way of explaining and illustrating them is ours.
Other organizations and links
Tilehall is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the National Mah Jongg League or any other mahjong organization or game publisher. Their names are used only to describe them, and their trademarks belong to their owners. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
No gambling
The games on Tilehall are played for fun only. There are no stakes, prizes, payments or leaderboards, and nothing on the site can be exchanged for money.
No warranty
We work to keep the games running and the guides accurate, but the site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. House rules for mahjong vary widely, so agree on rules with your own table rather than relying on any single source, including this one. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
